About This Book

This book focuses on the digital transformation of medium wave broadcasting 

and explores in depth the practical path of technological change. Starting from 

the theoretical foundation, analyze the evolution of medium wave broadcasting 

technology, core principles of digitization, spectrum optimization and other key 

contents, laying a theoretical foundation for transformation. This book conducts 

a systematic study on the digital transformation of medium wave broadcasting, 

covering four dimensions: theory, technology, practice, and future trends. At 

the theoretical level, explain the historical evolution and digital core principles 

of medium wave broadcasting technology, including spectrum optimization, 

digital modulation algorithms, anti-interference technology, and international 

standard comparison, and construct a theoretical framework for transformation. 

The technical system construction part focuses on the reconstruction of the 

broadcasting and television engineering technology system, involving the digital 

transformation of medium wave transmitters, signal coverage optimization, 

fault-tolerant design of broadcast control systems, intelligent monitoring of 

computer rooms, etc., and provides specific engineering implementation plans. 

The integration path of integrated media is the core, which deeply explores the 

design of content distribution interfaces between medium wave broadcasting and 

new media, the construction of data middleware architecture, the reengineering 

of multimodal content production processes, as well as cross platform 

collaborative editing standards and secure transmission protocols, to solve key 

issues in technology integration. The practical exploration chapter presents the 

achievements of municipal broadcasting transformation, equipment iteration plan, 

news editing process reconstruction, emergency broadcasting linkage mechanism 

and other case studies, analyzing the economic feasibility of rural signal coverage 

and old equipment renovation, as well as the challenges of transformation in small 

and medium-sized cities. In the future trend part, we will look forward to the 

application of blockchain, metauniverse, edge computing and other technologies 

in the broadcasting field, explore the broadcasting adaptation of user generated 

content (UGC), and provide forward-looking guidance for the intelligent 

development of MW broadcasting.
